REIGNITING PASSION

As the UW Tacoma campus changed over 25 years, its sense of purpose and identity shifted. Many yearned for a renewed sense of mission and a plan for its future. The chancellor appointed a 30-person committee from across the campus and community to guide the development of a new strategic plan. Expert facilitation and management would be critical.


JAYRAY WENT TO WORK

  • Co-developed a customized strategic planning process
  • Shared facilitation duties for 10 day-long committee meetings
  • Participated in gathering and analyzing input from more than 1,000 students, staff, alumni and community members
  • Provided communication counsel and prepared messaging, presentations and web updates

RESULTS

  • Reignited UW Tacoma‚Äôs commitment to its urban-serving mission
  • Renewed passion for access as the central value of UW Tacoma
  • Established a framework for meaningful, measurable results 
  • Successfully transitioned the work to an implementation team
