With a legacy spanning decades, Tacoma’s Murray Morgan Bridge (also known as the 11th Street Bridge) was a newly renovated community gem—and it was turning 100. The City of Tacoma wanted to celebrate the bridge’s centennial in style.

JayRay went to work

  • Crafted and coordinated two community-centered events: a 5K walk, and a multimodal procession and rededication ceremony
  • Designed and produced iconic poster and invitation
  • Coordinated bridge-inspired menu offerings at restaurants around town
  • Targeted pitches to area media


  • More than 20 local business and organizations, hundreds of citizens, dozens of local leaders and the governor participated
  • Front-page coverage celebrated the landmark
  • Generated community excitement and love for the landmark that could last another 100 years
