JayRay clients recognized with top-level international MarCom Awards

Three local JayRay clients were selected among 6,000 international entries to receive top-level Marcom Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

JayRay’s work with The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF) for the Be the Spark event featuring Archbishop Desmond Tutu earned the highest honor. JayRay developed the Be the Spark logo and created advertisements including billboards, newspaper and online ads that helped to attract a sold-out crowd.

Rush Hannula Harkins & Kyler and JayRay were also awarded the highest honor for an outdoor advertising campaign. In a market where lawyers may shy away from billboard advertisements, JayRay saw the perfect opportunity to attract new clients and create a message people would remember: Where Wrongs are Made Right. Two different layouts with the campaign theme were rotated among 13 billboards throughout Pierce County, attracting awareness and inquiries from clients old and new.

JayRay was also recognized for design work for Highline Public Schools. As part of a larger branding process, JayRay gleaned insights from qualitative and quantitative research to develop a new position statement, brand guidelines, key messages and tagline. Leveraging this new information, JayRay designed a fresh, distinct logo that reflects the district’s diverse paths toward achievement.
