“Video powerfully conveys emotion and makes a human connection, essential strategies for nonprofit organizations seeking to make an impact,” said Kathleen Deakins, JayRay president.

The Place for Jobs
The Place for Jobs video illustrates the importance of jobs to the prosperity of the South Sound through the stories of workers in a variety of jobs. The video was the centerpiece in launching The Place for Jobs coalition of employers, workers, educators and leaders across sectors who seek to engage the community in conversation about the importance of jobs. Their message is that attracting, creating and sustaining a variety of job types is the foundation for a prosperous region, a clean environment and a healthy Northwest lifestyle. JayRay teamed with Milkman Media for videography.

Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling: Ann’s Story
Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling sought to reach gaming industry leaders with the message that training is a vital part of the solution to problem gambling. The “Ann’s Story” video shows rather than tells the impact that a trained employee can have. JayRay conceived and directed the video, including writing the interview questions and coaching the on-camera talent. JayRay teamed with Milkman Media for videography.

Housing and Employment Navigator Study
The Housing and Employment Navigator video explains the results of a three-year study connecting homeless individuals with stable housing, steady employment and self-sufficiency. JayRay summarized key research findings answering, “What does the audience need to know?” JayRay synthesized the research, wrote the script and directed production. JayRay teamed with Milkman Media for videography and John Columbo for animation.

The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals has recognized communication professionals for over 20 years.
