International awards recognize Tacoma agency’s marketing effectiveness

Creative and strategic services firm JayRay has earned Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards (MEA) for its work on United Way of Pierce County’s digital campaign strategy and an annual report for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.

“A favorite part of our job is partnering with clients to develop smart strategies for their communication challenges,” said Kathleen Deakins, JayRay president. “Winning awards reinforces the positive results.”

The international MEA competition recognizes marketing communications that changes, influences or reinforces a target audience's knowledge, attitudes or beliefs.

JayRay’s Summit marketing awards included:

Platinum Award: Digital Campaign Strategy / United Way of Pierce County
Just in time for the major giving season, JayRay created the nonprofit’s year-end integrated campaign. Digital components included social content, advertising and a campaign landing page. Social content played an important role in educating residents about United Way’s efforts to help the large population of struggling families in Pierce County, while advertising reached a large audience quickly.  Donations jumped 23 percent from the previous year.

Silver Award: Annual Report / Washington State Housing Finance Commission
The Commission helps homebuyers with mortgage loans, down-payment assistance and homebuyer education seminars. JayRay helped the Commission combine new data with emotional stories and compelling photography to illustrate the Commission’s positive impact on the statewide housing crisis.
