When the large international finance firm Russell Investments, a major Tacoma employer, announced it was moving to Seattle, it stirred up conversations and concern about the city’s economy.
Now, facing the soon-to-be vacant Russell Investments building stands a billboard that is giving its employees and others in Tacoma a reason to laugh.
JayRay, a communications consultancy created and placed the billboard for LeRoy Jewelers, a local jewelry store that has been in Tacoma since 1941.
Along with providing a little humor, the board sends a hopeful message that it’s time to laugh and put the economic struggle behind us, move on and make 2010 a better year—after all, we have the best jewelry store around.
