Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union’s $10 handout event was named "Best Investment, Banking & Financial Services Campaign" by the Bulldog Reporter. The award was judged by working journalists from The New York Times, The Oregonian, The Washington Post and others. It recognized Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union and JayRay for outstanding ability in media pitching and media results including coverage on 263 television broadcasts nationwide. The credit union hosted the $10 event in September asking Seattle a question "If we gave you $10, what would you do for someone else?" Answers were posted on YouTube and voted on by the public. The winner was given $1,000 to follow through with her idea. "JayRay’s media prowess helped us achieve a high level of the event that exceeded all of our local goals and raised the visibility of credit unions across the country," said Jill Vicente, CMO of Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union. Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union continues to be recognized months after the event for JayRay’s media relations that helped the credit union turn $3,000 into $433,000 of ad-equivalency news coverage. |
