JayRay wins national award for Sound Credit Union video

A video co-produced for Sound Credit Union by JayRay and Craig Kelly was honored with a Telly Award.

The “Life Made Easy” video was selected by a national panel of production experts from around the country. The award honors outstanding TV commercials and programs, video and film productions, and online film and video.

The video was filmed at Sound Credit Union’s downtown Tacoma branch and the Puyallup Farmer’s Market. Sound employees and CEO Rick Brandsma are featured showing the credit union’s “random acts of easy.”

In one scene, a Sound employee greets a member outside the branch with an umbrella during a rainstorm. Another employee gives a free pizza to a member who had a long day. The video also captures employees keeping the doors open an extra five minutes for members who are running late.

In addition to the credit union employees who volunteered their time to participate, JayRay staff and families served as actors to ensure the majority of the budget could be used for high-quality video production.

“Although we produced this video to show new members and prospects how they could make their lives easier, employees enjoy the video as well,” said Robyn LaChance, vice president of marketing.
