February 12, 2007JayRay finds value of a Dollar
Sam Dollar, fine arts sculptor, United States of America Snowboard Association Nationals freestyle snowboarding coach and designer has joined JayRay as a creative advisor.
“The old rules of advertising and graphic design are falling like the Berlin Wall,” said Kurt Jacobson, JayRay president. “People with nontraditional backgrounds are fueling the new creativity. As for Sam’s national leadership, coaching the most dynamic youth sport of our time, it enhances JayRay’s ability to connect with the next generation of consumers.”
Dollar most recently worked as both a graphic and production designer at Tom Torrens Sculpture Design. In his three years there, he produced and fabricated steel, copper and brass sculptures currently displayed at corporations, parks and residences throughout western Washington.
In addition to his fine arts background, Dollar was the art director of Vision Service Group. There he was responsible for creative strategies for corporate communications and advertising campaigns.
Dollar’s sculptures can be seen at locations throughout the Puget Sound, including Rosedale Gardens in Gig Harbor. He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University
